Internet: So Easy to Lose Track of Time

This is just a quick post about the internet and how easy it is to lose track of time while using the internet.

I have been online listening to Gnomedex 2008 (BTW  Thanks to Chris Pirillo and all of the guest speakers so far) and on Twitter making the usual comments I do plus and have just now realized that it is 4:16pm pacific time.  Where did the day go?  I can tell you where the day went…I have been listening to speakers of non-profit organizations, listening to the creators of ICANHAZACHEESEBURGER (hopefully spelled right) and on flickr viewing new and current contacts pictures.

I would not change this day for anything as I got the chance to hear very inspiring words by 2 very talented, real people talk about their causes.  Beth Kanter (http://beth.typepad.com/) and Amanda Koster (http://salaamgarage.com/) have been working with adults and children in underdeveloped countires to help make their lives better.  Please have a look at these sites and if you can help out through donations or even aid of some additional sorts…please do.

The other non-profit cause out there that I have become aware of in the last month or so is the cause Tanya Davis (aka Netchick  http://netchick.ca/) is part of.  Tanya is part of http://www.95crave.com/events/100/737921/team+diabetes team in helping to raise money for diabetes awareness.  Please read her blog and give to help a good cause.

I had to take a break to make a coffee and have a bite to eat as I have been immersed online for all of today.  And then I had to write about it.

Please help all causes listed in this post.  And send Chris and Ponzi Pirillo “Kudos” for bringing Beth Kanter and Amanda Koster to Gnomedex 2008 to speak about their cause.
